Nota d'usoNell'inglese di tutti i giorni, quando si parla di problemi medici a livello toracico, normalmente non si usa la parola “thoracic”, ma “chest”: Ho un dolore toracico, I've got pain in my chest. L'aggettivo “thoracic” è usato per lo più in ambito medico-scientifico, soprattutto in relazione all'anatomia del torace: dotto toracico, thoracic duct. Fa eccezione gabbia toracica, che si traduce con rib cage (“rib” significa costola). -
